Integrative Psychotherapy
Evidence proves, that no therapeutic approach is superior – and clinical experience indicates that particular therapeutic approaches suit particular clients.
Integrative psychotherapy draws on a diverse range of theories and modalities, to meet the specific needs of the client. Each person is acknowledged as unique, with no one mind being the same as another.
Most mainstream psychology solely incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), whereby distressing thoughts are therapeutically reframed to lead to more adaptive behavior. In contrast, Integrative Psychotherapy not only includes CBT, but also incorporates a diverse range of approaches – including but not limited to, psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapy, somatic therapy and attachment repair.
Psychotherapy is an embodied and live process, often drawing on the wisdom of the body, imaginal processes and the relationship between therapist and client.
